Due to inclement weather, the Kayak competition was postponed and will be held again at a later date.
Due to request by sponsors, the format of the Flathead Megabucks was changed and agreed on by all competitors.
A gail warning over the first weekend of the carnival severely hindered anglers attempts to fish and indeed affected numbers of competitors. Those who did stay enjoyed a great family carnival and shared in a lot of fun and prizes. The first weekend of the carnival hosted the ABT Bream Megabucks, with over thirty teams entered and 270 bream caught.
Results can be seen on the NSW Fishing Monthly and B.R.E.A.M. websites.
Local winners included
- Pete McKinnon with overall champion team and Biggest Bream.
- Adam Ward with a second placing on day one and
- Grant Munusu with a third and forth placing over the two days competition.

The local Great Lakes Game club held the first interclub event with excellent results on the first day. 11 Marlin, yellowfin and sharks were captured. The second day unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the gail warning.
Anglers were very impressed for the clubs first years efforts and assured their support for next years' event.
Both the Forster Fishing Carnival and the Great Lakes Gamefishing Club are currently working together planning for next years event...
